FAQ
  • What’s in the Batana & Rosemary carrier oil blend?

This blend combines batana oil with rosemary and other carrier oils to create a smooth, easy-spreading formula. The batana gives it a slightly richer feel while the rosemary brings a mild herbal note.

  • Does this blend feel heavy on hair?

The texture is richer than very light oils, but it still spreads easily. On hair that feels dry or brittle, the blend feels smooth and helps other ingredients glide through without a thick, greasy finish.

  • Will I notice a rosemary scent?

Yes, you can smell a gentle herbal note, but it isn’t strong or perfume-like. It pairs well with the deeper scent of the batana oil and feels fresh rather than overpowering.

  • Is this blend suitable for use on scalp?

The feel is balanced and comfortable, so many people use it on the scalp as part of a care routine. It doesn’t pull or feel sticky and spreads evenly, which can make application easier.

  • Can this blend be mixed with other oils?

Yes, it mixes smoothly with other carrier or essential oils if you like to create personalised combinations. Because it stays fluid and spreads well, it works easily in multi-ingredient blends.

HOW TO USE

Batana & Rosemary Carrier Oils Blend combines deeply conditioning Batana oil with invigorating rosemary for a rich treatment that supports scalp health, hair strength, and shining, manageable strands. Use it when you want extra nourishment or a boost to your regular hair routine.

  1. For scalp nourishment

Apply a small amount of the blend directly to your scalp using your fingertips. Massage gently in circular motions for 1–2 minutes to support circulation and help the oils settle into the roots. Leave on for at least 30–60 minutes before shampooing.

  2. For deep hair conditioning

Work a little oil through damp or dry hair from mid-lengths to ends. Focus on sections that feel dry or frizzy — this blend helps smooth and hydrate hair strands.

  3. For pre-wash treatment

Use this oil blend as a pre-wash treatment. Apply it before shampooing and leave it on for 30 minutes or longer to help saturate the hair with nutrients and moisture before cleansing.

  4. For scalp massage and relaxation

Massage the oil into your scalp with gentle pressure after a warm shower or bath. The rosemary scent can help create a refreshing, calming sensation as you relax.

  • Start with a small amount — this blend is rich, and a little goes a long way.
  • Use consistently a few times each week for best results over time.
  • Warm the oil in your hands before applying for easier spread and a more comfortable feel.

Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Patch test before first use and discontinue if irritation occurs.

A natural hair and scalp oil blend praised for strengthening hair and reducing breakage. Customers said it "feels healthier" and makes hair "thicker." Absorbs well without greasiness. Strong earthy/herbal scent may not suit everyone. Some noted packaging lacks dropper initially. Results take consistency and time to appear.

Gorgeous Hair Oil

Wow this is so good. Im an esthetician Im all about the ingredients and this has some pretty gold standard ingredients needed to target issues correlating to hair loss and damage. Its super effective and absorbs beautifully on the head. Non- greasy and feels nice and soft after application, very soothing and great for the hair. This is a nice size and this has lasted me pretty long so far, it does contain a dropper to control how much youre using 5 stars

Visible Results After 4 Weeks Smells Strong but Works!

I've been using the Batana Rosemary Hair Growth Oil consistently for about a month now, applying it 34 times a week mainly as an overnight treatment. I bought it because Ive been struggling with thinning hair along my hairline and a dry, itchy scalp and I wanted something natural without harsh chemicals. What I Like: Hair feels thicker healthier: After about two weeks, I noticed my hair feeling stronger, especially at the roots. The breakage around my edges has reduced significantly. Around week four, some baby hairs started coming in along my temples definitely a good sign! Moisturizes dry scalp: My scalp used to get flaky between washes, but this oil really helped lock in moisture. No more itching or dry patches. A little goes a long way: You only need a few drops per section. The 2oz bottle seemed small at first, but it's actually lasted longer than I expected. Clean ingredients: I appreciate that its made from Batana oil, rosemary, and other natural oils. No silicones or mineral oil. What Could Be Better: The smell is strong: It has a very earthy, roasted nut scent from the Batana oil, mixed with herbal rosemary. Its not unpleasant, but it definitely lingers. I only use it at night because of the scent. Packaging: The bottle doesnt have a dropper or pump, which makes application a bit messy. I ended up transferring it to a dropper bottle I had at home. Takes time: Dont expect overnight miracles. This isnt a quick fix youll need to be consistent and patient to see results. Final Thoughts: If you're dealing with hair thinning or dry scalp and want a natural, nourishing oil, this is worth trying. Its not magic, but it does work if you use it regularly and give it time. The strong scent may not be for everyone, but for me, the results are worth it. Would I repurchase? Yes but Id love to see a version with improved packaging and maybe a slightly milder scent.

Thicker than my other hair oils.

I use hair oils often, and this one is much thicker than the others Ive tried. It has a strong, pure natural scent that starts with castor and rosemary and ends mostly with peppermint. This is my first time using a blend with sunflower oil, so I looked it up and was surprised to learn its good for both the scalp and hair. The oil seems high quality. I usually prefer lighter oils, but Ill keep using this one about once a month. P.S. The bottle came with a plastic seal over the lid, and the dropper was included separately in the package. I washed and dried the dropper before placing it into the bottle.

Fragrant And Soothing Scalp Oil Helps Alleviate Dry Scalp And Frizzy Hair

The Batana and Rosemary Scalp and Hair Oil from Handcraft Blends is just what I needed to help moisturize my dry scalp and frizzy, brittle hair. Applying a small amount to the scalp and massaging it in provided an immediate hydrating, moisturizing effect. I then gently rubbed it around the driest strands of hair and brittle split ends to moisturize them as well. The product has a very pleasant fragrance, as well. It smells minty with tinges of other nice things in the aroma. The mixture of jojoba, batana, rosemary and peppermint oils has a fragrant, comforting, calming and soothing effect.

Great Value

Two ingredients that are awesome for hair loss and strengthening. Rosemary and Batana Oil. I like that you can take it any time of the day, which makes it less of a fuss of worrying about when and how to take it. It has an okay scent to it. Its a great size for a great price.

Feels healthier

Im trying an all-natural approach for hair care. This has everything I was looking for at a great price. So far it is a good leave-in conditioner, but it will take more time to see if more volume and thickness is growing. Thanks

Love it!!

I really like this oil. I use it on my hair, nails and rough patches of skin, like elbows. The oil smells so amazing, and has a cooling effect when applied (it's the peppermint oil). When applied to skin, it soaks in and within a few minutes it is almost undetectable, but skin is soft. I haven't noticed additional hair growth or thickening, but that might take time. Applying to my nails definitely seems to be helping make them stronger and healthier. I feel the quality of the product makes the price a steal. Really good value for the money! Love it!!

The product does not burden my hair and scalp

I had short hair, so I only use 3 drops of this product each time. I rub the oil on my palms and fingers, and then apply it to my scalp and hair. After massage, my palms and fingers do not feel any residual oil at all. i assume that my scalp and hair absorb the oil. I can smell peppermint and I don't feel greasy on my hair or scalp, which I like. Some other oils are too thick to appropriately apply. I don't know if my hair can grow with the oil. It may be too early to tell. At least, I do not have bad experience with it. The bottom line is it can provide my hair and scalp with the essential nutrients.

Decent for oiling scalp

This is pretty decent scalp and hair oil. I used it last night on my scalp for a good 45 min because Ive been experiencing super dry irritating scalp with lots of flakes. It does take time to go back to normal. Its easy to wash out. The oil is thicker than the one Ive previously been using. I dont like that it has peppermint oil in it, while it feels nice I have a feeling peppermint oil can cause more harm than good. Also Batana oil is one of the last oils in this ingredients list

Great pre-shower scalp treatment

The Batana Rosemary Hair Growth Oil has quickly become a favorite in my hair care routine! It has a lovely, natural scent that isnt too overpowering, and I actually look forward to using it. Ive been applying it to my scalp and ends about 30 minutes before showering, and it leaves my hair feeling softer and more nourished after each wash. Ive noticed less breakage and my scalp feels healthier and more hydrated, which is a big win since I struggle with dryness. What I love most is how lightweight it feelsrich enough to do its job but not greasy or heavy. The 2oz bottle might seem small, but a little goes a long way, and the quality of the ingredients makes it worth every drop. Its a great natural option for anyone dealing with thinning hair or dryness. Im excited to keep using it and see even more results over time!

Makes my skin feel soft!

This oil smells absolutely amazing! The rosemary comes through so strong, but not in a bad way. I do have to say, I am very new to the idea of leaving batana oil in my hair and not washing it out. So I did not do that. Instead, I added the oil to my bath water and I really enjoyed how it made my skin feel. I added just a couple drops to my water and I felt like my skin was extra moisturized! As an added bonus, that rosemary scent made my bath feel even more relaxing. I think this will be a new bath add for me going forward!

Smells great and moisturizes well!

Ive been using this oil for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, its pretty awesome! My hair feels softer and more manageable, and I love how healthy it looks; like I just walked out of a salon. The natural ingredients are a big win, and the rosemary scent is refreshing without being too strong. It makes my hair super moisturized and gives it a nice shine without feeling greasy. I also noticed less frizz and fewer flyaways, which is a huge plus. Its a lovely product overall, and Ill definitely be keeping it in my hair care routine!

A smooth and light oil with a medicinal scent.

Overall I think this hair oil is decent. It spreads out pretty well, and feels very thin and light. It has a medium strong herbal scent that borders on smelling like a medicinal product. For 10 dollars, the price seems to me to be about middle of the road for hair products of this type, the bottle is fairly small but it does not take a huge amount of this oil, using the included dropper just a drop or two goes a long way. That said the oil does dry up fairly quickly once spread out - which may be a good thing if you aren't looking to walk around with your hair oily for long.
