FAQ
Quick answers before you choose.
What is Lavandula angustifolia lavender oil?
Lavandula angustifolia, often called true or English lavender, is the lavender species most prized in aromatherapy. This oil is 100% pure, single-species lavender — not a blend — with a soft, gentle floral aroma.
How is this different from your other lavender oil?
This is 100% pure Lavandula angustifolia essential oil. Our standard Lavender Essential Oil is a lavender blend. Choose this one if you specifically want single-species, 100% pure true lavender.
What does it smell like?
A soft, fresh, gentle floral aroma — lighter and sweeter than lavandin, which is why angustifolia is a favorite for fine fragrance and aromatherapy blends.
How do I use it?
Add a few drops to a diffuser, or dilute in a carrier oil for DIY skin and body blends. It is also popular in candle and soap making.
Is it pure and tested?
Yes — it is 100% pure Lavandula angustifolia, steam distilled, with nothing added, and GC/MS tested for purity.
How to use
Lavandula angustifolia — known as true lavender — has a soft, gentle floral aroma prized in aromatherapy. Diffuse it to scent your space, or dilute it in a carrier oil for DIY skin and body blends.
-
Add about 3–5 drops per 100 mL of water to your diffuser to fill a room with lavender's soft, fresh floral aroma. A little goes a long way, so start small and adjust to your preference.
-
For topical use, always dilute first in a carrier oil — a typical dilution is 2–3% (about 6–9 drops per 1 oz / 30 mL of a carrier oil such as jojoba or fractionated coconut). Apply the blend to clean skin as part of your routine.
-
Add to your candle or soap base according to your recipe for a natural lavender scent.
