Have been looking for an nutmeg oil for a excellent price and finally found it.

I used it to rub on my temples when I have a headache and it really helps. I use it to numb my bad tooth. I use it to kill my cravings for sweets. Caution: It's very potent! So start really small.

Great product for the price. An ounce is a lot but this is the perfect size for crafting and uses other than just in the diffuser. The oil seems to be good quality for what we need it for.

I use this to prevent the ants going to the place I don't want them to be there. The ants hate nutmeg smell. Just wipe a few on the rim of the kitchen counter desk. they wont bother you to visit your counter. Why use pesticide which is harmful for human too. Use this magic oil to avoid ants and other pest.

Bought this for my dad to mix with his massage oil for joint pain and he seems to like it. The smell is very pungent and strong. So just try to mix a very small amount.

I was skeptical about trying this at first because I haven't talked to anyone before who has. But I tried it and it is amazing. The scent is not overwhelmingly strong! It's not as sweet and nutty as powdered nutmeg because essential oils often do not smell like the herb due to the concentration of compounds. Their products are always good quality and decently priced. Anyway I bought this because I have very achy and swollen joints from broken bones and arthritis. Usually I use ginger essential oil to decrease bone pain which works wonderfully but it never decreased inflammation. So I decided to try nutmeg essential oil for the inflammation, and it does work quite well. I've used it with and without ginger oil in conjunction to see the effects of both ways. Ginger essential oil decreases painache and nutmeg essential oil decreases inflammation (which by itself can also cause minor pain). Both together worked perfect. Note that the oils have to be massaged into the area for at least 5-10 minutes and it does take around 20 minutes for full relief. Remember you should always use a carrier oil or lotion to dilute essential oils because they can induce hypersensitivity even if you have used the same oil a dozen times before.

This Handcraft Blends nut meg essential oil comes in a one ounce amber bottle with separate dropper bulb top. It's 100 pure premium grade oil that can be used for aromatherapy or diffuser use. It's been third party lab tested to ensure its quality. The nutmeg is ethically sourced from India and the oil is made in the USA. It's cruelty-free and expires in 627. The oil has been steam distilled, which means the nutmeg has had steam passed through it to extract the volatile compounds. This results in a high quality essential oil. I love aromatherapy and use many essential oils, either separately or in blends, to make my own reed diffusers. But I was disappointed with the smell of this oil. I didn't find it spicy or nutty at all, and nothing like the smell of ground nutmeg. To me it was pungent and smelled like paint remover. I will have to try adding it to a blend of other spicy oils like cinnamon and clove to see if it brings out the fragrance I expected. However, I am rating this oil three stars in spite of the fact that I dislike the smell. I know it's a pure and quality oil, and I like the fact it comes with a separate dropper for precise measurement control. Perhaps you will like it in a diffuser. Or perhaps you'll like it for massage or other cosmetic purposes. If you do, however, always mix this oil with a carrier oil first before using it for any applications where it touches your skin.

great smell!

Love this essential oil! I belong to another essential oil company, but they don't have nutmeg and it's Fall here in New England. So many great diffuser "recipes" for Fall scents (Pumpkin Pie, Fall Leaves, Chai, etc....). I'd actually put it at 4.5 stars since I doubt this is as high quality as what I buy, but I definitely think this brand is a good quality to diffuse- I just won't take internally.
